I am impressed with this statement. I think it takes a wise man to figure all this out, to accept it and to verbalize it. Because it is a statement that a man flooded with male ego will never be caught dead saying.

Women possess such power and indeed all men should bow in the presence of such force. And that is exactly why men spend so much of their time and efforts through the centuries to suppress women and their capabilities to stay in control. Domination is the name of the game.

I fell in love with Diane von Fursterberg months ago in Hong Kong. Little did I know that by casually browsing through her clothes racks, I was about to start a love affair with this label. Her dresses are stylish, well cut and possess a sense of feminine power. Most importantly is that fact that she manages to put it off with a definite degree of comfort for the wearer.

I absolutely love the DVF dresses I owe. They carry a sense of my personal identity which I cannot say for all the dresses in my wardrobe. Having read her interview with Financial Times, all the jigsaw pieces falls in their rightful places in my mind.

She talks about women empowerment and what her dresses represents. I can certainly relate to it. I am amazed to find out that she is currently 61 years of age. Impressive.

To be able to own even one piece of dress that can expresses who you are and your identity as a woman is such a privilege. A privilege that doesn’t exist for men. Although I’m sure they can appreciate you in a dress of your elements.

Desperate Housewives, Who’s Your Favorite?

I prefer Desperate Housewives to Sex And The City. Having said that, I love them both. But Desperate Housewives is the only one that I have watched every episodes twice. Yes, I know, I’m a little crazy. But who can resist these wacky characters?

The difference between SATC and DC is that the former is derived from realistic and probable situations but the latter has incredibly unrealistic and hilarious situations that will make you fall off your chair laughing.

Some of the lines seriously got me into stitches. Susan is so silly and air headed you just can’t help but forgive her impossible antics. I love Bree for her shocking hair color. It is so beautiful and she had me dumbfounded in an episode where she showed off her heavenly curves.

As far as I’m concerned, Lynette is the smartest of the lot. But the poor woman has to make so many sacrifices for her family, it’s really sad. Gabrielle our glamorous model has her fair share of troubles which she hide behind her sexy clothes and immaculate fingernails.

My favorite is Edith. Yes, I know she is very bitchy. And don’t you love her car washing scenes. But hey, at least she is honest. I know her words are laced with acid. But hey, at least she is real. I rather have someone nasty but real than to have someone who sugar coat everything she says to me and then proceed to stab me in the back.

Sex And The City

The show that is taking the movie theaters by storm now. I remembered watching Sex And The City two years ago in Melbourne. I was alone on my usual ” I need to get out!” trip. I chanced upon the hotel library and was absolutely thrilled to see the four magic words in some boxes hidden at the corner.

I have always watched to watch Sex And The City. It was one of those things that “I never got round to it” for me. Excited, I basically spent the next two nights replacing beauty sleep with crazy episodes of women talking, whining and making love to men.

I was completely hooked! And I spent my day tours on the coach, blissfully asleep. Haha! I can never forget. And of course like the rest of the world (most of it I think), I can’t wait for the movie to arrive! I am very amused to learn that even men loved it.

Women love it because we can relate to the experiences of the four leading actresses, in particular their pain. But I still cannot comprehend what is the attraction for men.

And it was quite amusing to me to be able to discuss the details of the drama serial with men and they could contribute intelligently and with a fair amount of content and opinion I must say! What a crazy world!
